With all the publicity given to cancelled flights this year, be it due to heavy snow or a cloud or a volcanic ash, everyone is wondering whether their holidays are protected. Southern Cross Travel is a member of the Travel Trust Association. This means that clients’ money is banked into a Trust account, and paid direct to the relevant tour operator. All bookings including flights are covered by an ATOL (Air Tour Operators Licence) issued by the Civil Aviation Authority. If your flight is cancelled when part of a package or tailor-made holiday, you would receive the choice of re-booking at a later date, or receiving a full refund. So, it does pay to book with a licensed agent. Contrary to public perception, we often have prices that are lower than the internet, and you get protection as well!
